Quality Assurance Supervisor

The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees the activities of product inspection, document control, and File maker tools. This position requires knowledge of cGMPs, Label regulations and specifications and will oversee the day-to-day QA department activities, as well as act as backup for QA Manager.

In this role you will:

• Provide support to ensure constant cGMP compliance in all areas of the company, including employee training, internal and third party audits, mock recalls, etc.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of Product inspection, Document Control, including generation, distribution and auditing of Change Control Orders
• Review raw materials for specifications and compliance
• Develops the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
• Approve, review and proofread documents for accuracy and consistency of format
• Supervise creation, review and approval of Label Specifications including supplement facts panels, ingredient/allergen statements and required warnings/disclosures; initiate documents and gain approvals from Product Development and Quality Assurance.
• Ensure that product labels and boxes for accurate, complaint to current regulations and for format consistency in a timely manner.
• Write and effectively follow SOPs and policies based on cGMP requirements
• Provide leadership on key regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits.
• Develop and implement quality-related training programs for site personnel including management and hourly associates.
• Execute, monitor and close Material Reviews, Corrective And Preventative Action (CAPA), Customer Complaints in timely manner.
• Conduct Material Reviews as needed for out of specification products and procedures
• Protect and control proprietary materials
• Coordinating and monitoring activities of workers engaged in inspecting finished product and other related quality assurance tasks
• Interprets standards and procedures, and assists workers in resolving technical problems while reporting unresolved problems to QA Manager
• May conduct team meetings to relay management information to workers, and solicit response to work-related problems
• May perform duties of absent workers to maintain work schedules

Qualifications

• BS in Science or related field plus 2 years experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic skills in math, including algebra are required.

Computer Skills

• Must be proficient with MS Office and have advanced Excel skills.
