Nordic Naturals Hosts 'Cod-Tail' Party, Book Signing and Omega-3 Lecture at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim

Watsonville, California (March 3, 2008) Join the fun at Natural Products Expo West when Nordic Naturals hosts a “Cod-Tail” Party from 4 to 6 pm, Friday, March 14th at their booth #1752. Retailers and press members can enjoy a tasty goblet of traditional Norwegian Mead, a honey-based fermented beverage that has been produced and enjoyed since before the dawn of recorded history!

Suzy Cohen, nationally syndicated author of the “Dear Pharmacist” column, will be signing her new book, 24 Hour Pharmacist also on Friday from 1 to 3 pm at the booth. Dubbed as “America’s Most Trusted Pharmacist”, she is a licensed pharmacist with over 20 years of clinical experience. Copies of the book will be available at no charge for the first 125 retailers and all press members.

Attendees are also invited to a lecture entitled “Behind the Scenes of Omega-3s” with essential fatty acid expert, Dr. Douglas MacKay and National Educator Stuart Tomc, on Saturday, March 15th from 12:30 to 1:30 pm in Room 207D, on the second level of the Anaheim Convention Center. This presentation will provide greater knowledge on Omega-3s and their complex mechanism of action as well as debunk current fish oil myths about these essential fats. Following the lecture, Dr. MacKay and Stuart will be available to meet retailers and press members at Nordic Naturals booth #1752 from 2 to 3 pm.

Dr. Douglas (a.k.a. Duffy) MacKay
Douglas MacKay, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor who is committed to the advancement of natural and preventive medicine. Currently serving as Nordic Naturals Research Advisor, he facilitates the numerous ongoing human clinical trials using Nordic Natural products, and is developing research-based educational materials for professionals and consumers. Dr. MacKay also maintains a part-time practice, lectures regularly and is devoted to research and advocacy.

Stuart Tomc
With over twenty years experience in the field of Nutritional Medicine, Stuart Tomc is an authority on evidence-based dietary supplements. He is a respected consultant to the World Health Organization and integrative physicians worldwide having traveled the world as an educator and trainer for over 10 years.
