Nordic Naturals® Introduces Baby’s DHA Vegetarian Safe, Pure, 100% Vegetarian Marine Omega-3s Provide Essential Support for Infants

Watsonville, CA (October 3, 2012) Nordic Naturals, leading manufacturer of omega-3 supplements, introduces Baby’s DHA Vegetarian, made exclusively from microalgae, nature’s original source of marine omega-3s. Baby’s DHA Vegetarian provides essential omega nutrition without the use of fish. Like all Nordic Naturals omega oils, it is third-party tested and surpasses strict international standards for purity and freshness.

Specially formulated for the specific needs of infants 6 months and older (or as directed by a physician), Baby’s DHA Vegetarian is a safe, pure, and effective way to ensure that growing babies get the DHA they need for healthy development. Non-GMO and hexane free, it supports learning and language abilities, as well as healthy brain, eye, and nervous system function.

The product is packaged in a 1 oz. bottle and includes a measured dropper for easy addition to formula or food. According to Dr. Keri Marshall, Nordic Naturals Chief Medical Officer, “Dosage is based on the child’s weight and the convenient dropper makes it easy for parents to measure out exactly what baby needs.”

Baby’s DHA Vegetarian offers the same health benefits as Nordic Naturals Baby’s DHA, which is made from the company’s Gold Standard 100% Arctic Cod Liver Oil. “We recognize that some parents prefer a vegetarian option,” noted Dr. Marshall. “That’s why we developed a plant-based formulation of this popular product. Nordic Naturals is committed to correcting the global omega-3 deficiency and, through innovation, we will continue to develop products to meet the personalized nutritional needs of all of our customers.”

Baby’s DHA Vegetarian joins the growing line of Nordic Naturals vegetarian products, all of which are sustainably processed.
